Dragonboating

We had 2 dragonboating lessons. It was AWESOME! I love dragonboating! Hahaha. It is definitely better than Spire... Spire is a (sadly) boring lesson teaching us the uses and how to research to prepare us for our research programme some time soon... Sad man. I rather dragonboat every week... But who doesn't? :)

Last week, our boat only had 1 guy - Jia Yi. There was another boat with only 1 guy too. But Jia Yi's a canoer. Haha he was my partner. There was this other boat with 13 guys. OMG. However during the race, we were 2nd! O.o The boat with 13 guys were obviously the first. Sadly, the 205 boat was last. But at least they completed the race and that was the most important thing. Jia Yi didn't come to school today... He was sick. So I paddled alone. So we became the boat with no guys. This week, we were 2nd again... Wow. But this time the boat with 13 guys were not first, it was the boat with 1 guy. Sadly, 205 was last again... But they tried and that's the main thing. The main thing is to try. Whether you win or not, it always starts with trying first. If you don't try, you won't even move.

We just finished 2 tests - IS and LA Journal Entry. Ahh 2 more to go! I can't wait for next Monday to be over, because the other 2 tests are on Monday. Math and Chinese compo. After all the tests are over, I can finally read my storybook! Hahahaha. Omg, haha this is random but I just realised I am appearing offline on MSN after more than 20 minutes...

Yesterday was my brother's birthday... My family and I went to Vivocity. On the MRT on our way to Queenstown MRT Station to wait for my dad, there were foreigners from Youth Olympic Games... I saw their shirt... Columbia. Those were teenagers, probably competitors. And there was 1 Cuba man. My mum sat beside him. He was much older and definitely could not be a participant, so I thought he was probably a coach. After a while, he stood up to give up his seat to me! O.o I wasn't handicapped or carrying heavy stuff or anything... I didn't know what to do so I refused profusely politely (I think) then he proceeded to ask my younger sis to sit. My younger sis refused too. Finally, he sat back down. My mum helped us thank him. Then, she talked to him. It appeared that he didn't really understand or speak English. He is a coach for triathletes. Wow. Oh and he said that in his country (Cuba), the men (points thumb up), and the women (points thumb down) in buses and trains. Lol he meant that the men in Cuba stood in public transports and the women get the seats. Wow Cuba has way better men than Singapore. XD

Haha we dined at Fig and Olive in Vivo. It was nice. :) But it was filling cause we ordered quite a lot. After walking and shopping in Vivo, we bought a whole mudpie from Island Cremery and went home. :) And we ate again. Hahaha I think I put on at least 2kg after all that. Ok I am going to eat dinner (eat again XD).

All Too Fast

Hmm... What's all too fast? Yeah other than time? Haha I dunno for you, but for me, third lang is GONE. Ya. W.O.W.

Ines and I completed the form. After getting the principal's signature and school's official stamp, we would go to the language centre to hand in the form. So after school, we made our way to the general office. We were holding the form and the lady at the desk said, "Giving up your third language?" with a SMILE. Weirdness. Then, another staff said we could leave. I was surprised, seriously, so I confirmed if we had to go to the language centre to hand in the form. And he said no. Wow. Ines and I were both... Stunned. We said before that if we quit French we would go out on a Thursday. And it was a Thursday. So we went to KAP.

Yup, by right I'm on my way to improvement. Hope that it really happens or my parents will be disappointed again, and I think they had had enough.

Haha how bout other stuffs... Swimming, for instance. Man, I should really relax or something? Haha I am not for swimming but still, I gotta be able to do some stuff.

I went for the heats for track meet this year. I ran 4x400m. My teammates were Jia Ling, Keith and Sherman. We were second last in our heat... I think it's my fault. :( I was the third runner, Keith was the first, Jia Ling was the second and Sherman, fourth. Keith WAS second last, but Jia Ling was really, really, fast and caught up to be THIRD. WOW. And I was overtaken by 2 people. Man. So we were second last. But we still qualified! I thought about my running, maybe I shouldn't try to challenge the opponent RIGHT IN FRONT of me. I was really tempted to overtake so I tried, but failed... I kept trailing behind her, and got more and more tired. And I got further, further, futher... So I should just run at my own pace on that day. Who knows, I might be able to catch up with her in the end. Rather than get tired and run with a bad cramp near the end. I don't wanna feel THAT anymore. The finals are on Wednesday... I hope Aqua can catch up with the rest and won't be last anymore. There's another team for 4x400m (C Division), Jimmy, Janice, Claire and Kenson. Kenson was really fast in their heat. They qualified too. Haha so we have 2 teams to get points for Aqua! So I am not gonna care about the other competitors around me!

I Don't Want School To Reopen

I wanna protest. I don't wanna go back to school. Homework, stupid test, and results, I don't wanna deal with them! :( But this is the hard reality, isn't it?

Over the holiday, other than completing my homework, I hardly did revise, and till now, 2 days before the reopen of that terrifying place, I still have the stupid IH thing undone. The simple reason is that I don't know howtta do. Well I think I'll just use my debate script.

Other than training, I also went for a holiday. (Everyone needs a break! ;)) My family and I went to KL to visit my uncle. And after that we went to Genting (again, every year we go there). Our luck wasn't really good this year. Cause it rained on the day we played. We didn't get to go on some of the outdoor rides. My elder sister and I took corkscrew thrice. Haha. Our favourite ride. I LOVE thrill rides.

The thing I dread most about this term is swimming. Man. I really really really hope these 10 lessons whizz by quickly.

Till next time! :) (Which might be long...)

We Won (Finally)!!!

Yay! We finally won a match. But I can say that I didn't do as much in this 5th match of mine than the 4th match of mine last week... But it's ok! I did something! I dribbled and passed the ball! :) How pathetic the attempt to console myself.... Nvm.

We won Emaar International. 28-16. I think I did my longest dribble today, though it was cut short by the opponent. I got the ball, dribbled it towards our side when the opponent stuck to me and I lost the ball. But the opponent didn't grab the ball immediately so I went to grab it and passed it to someone from our team. Whew.

Though this matches we've been playing aren't really big, it matters to us as somewhat a newbie team gaining experiences.

Lastly, Happy Mothers' Day to all mothers in the world. :)

You Know What?

You know what? School life in NJ really feels empty without Claire and Ching Mun. It's so blank just to stare at their empty chairs. Good news is Ching Mun's coming back. :) Bad news, Claire's not coming to school for a month. Probably, we would visit her tomorrow...

You know what? I had the best third lang lesson today so far this year. We did revision for the first half of the lesson, then we had our test. It was break after that and we had a MOVIE. Ines and I have been waiting AGES for this to come. MOVIE. But we didn't watch much because it was time to go home. Hope we get to watch it next week. :)

You know what? I'll be having the 2nd match of my life on Saturday. Hey wait you already know. I really hope that I would be more active in court, no matter how small the chances of the ball landing into my hands are.

Hope Claire gets better.

Council?

Heh. Junior council's result out. It didn't take me by surprise that I wasn't in. Since the interview, I knew I wasn't about to get in. Or anywhere in there. Anyway, Jia Yi and Dikaios got in. For Dikaios' case, I sort of expected him to get in... But not for Jia Yi. He said he screwed the interview like, seriously! But turns out it should have been ok, otherwise he would have entered. I think I feel quite relieved not getting in, weirdly. Anyway, this means I can spend more time on basketball. Though it takes me ages to improve...

Yesterday the senior council people went up to give their speeches... Man, I don't wanna be in council next time! It is so scary. Have to go through damn interview again and in addition to that torture, also have to go up on stage and repeat something probably very similar to what the person before you said. And paste posters of yourself all over the school. Sigh, those are artificial ego-ness. People will think you're ego but you're doing it because you have to!

School life now is... Sleepy. I hate Shakespeare. No offence to Shakespeare admirers but I really really HATE Shakepeare. It's plain boring and they use English differently centuries ago, now wanting us to interpret what they bloody said. Tomorrow, there's a test. Next week, there's another test. LA. Destroying life in school... AHH. Next week, there's French test which the whole class must get perfect scores, according to M. Gilbert. Well, good luck, me, because I need it.

Are you experiencing this sort of stress? Good luck to you too, cause you'll need it.

Nobody Is Perfect

NOBODY IS PERFECT. By now, most of you should have understood this. Unless you're really to arrogant to accept this fact.

I'm indecisive, especially on matters that require a lot of consideration. When I finally decide, I can end up half regreting, half not. A true friend, no matter what wrong decision I make, will try to say good things. Like maybe, "Nvm, there's still another time", "It's ok, everything's over already". But you, yes YOU, always have to mention things that in your opinion I should've done, but I didn't do.

After what is done, you'd just keep saying, "You should've...". You should've, you should've, you should've, you should've, I should've... Don't you know that the more you say, the more people feel bad? Maybe that's your intention. But when I lose temper or feel really sad and you realise it, you'd just act ALL INNOCENT, like you really dunno anything, which I doubt because I know you do know. So this act of innocence just lets uninvolved people (whether there're spectators or not) think that you're just trying to offer help and advising is good for the advised etc, and the advised is throwing a temper, kicking up a fuss, out of a small matter, while you are actually doing something that you're not at all benefiting from just for me.

Yes, I admit, advising will do me good, so that I won't repeat and regret. But you don't add oil to the fire. All you know is pointing out. Have you ever wondered why people get pissed at you? Hmm? They're short-tempered, they have mood swings; they, they, they. Have you ever thought you, you, you? Have you ever thought that you are actually the fault? I know, normally things happen, both sides are to blame. I can accept that. But I doubt you do. Even if you do, you'd still think that the other side is more to blame. Again, the mood swings, temper problem etc. I mean, I know I'm really short-tempered. But you're always only looking this.

In front of normal friends or people around you, you are such a nice person, all the good points. Everyone can see. Inside... It sucks to see that other people think you're the nice and wonderful outshell, and dunno the real innershell. Dunno what I see. What only some of us see.

Everybody has good in their hearts. Even the most evil evil villian. You are good. Sometimes. And those sometimes, I forgot all the previous paragraphs about you. When it dawned upon me, I will wonder like crazy. It's like 2 different worlds. Combined in 1. Maybe you're just arrogant. And that arrogant part, can't be seen by the naked eye. But it just got the better of you.
