Hi, everybody! I'm back from Japan. Let me tell you what happen during the trip...
Here is the story:
7th June 2007
We arrived at Changi airport at 10p.m plus. Then we waited for a few hours. The next day already. (8th June) At about 1:10 a.m, we boarded the aeroplane (SQ618) to Kansai airport in Osaka. For the whole night, Yun Yu, Hui Wen and I can't sleep(we sat together). I played the games in the aeroplane. I played Pokemon (game boy version) till morning. I finally could sleep in the morning but we were arriving Osaka.
8th June 2007
After arriving at Kansai airport in Osaka, we took our luggages, loaded it into the bus, and headed to Osaka castle. Osaka castle was a wonderful museum. I took many pictures at different levels(there were 8 levels all together) except the levels that we were not supposed to take pictures. I bought souvenirs for myself and my family.
After that, we had bento lunch(lunch box). I suddenly missed the food I normally ate. Japanese food doesn't suit my taste. Even the famous sushi that many people in Singapore hoped they could try it.
After lunch, we went to Universal Studio(certainly the best place we went). We stayed there for 5 hours, I think. I only took the roller coaster ride. But I took it 4 times. It was extremely fun. Believe me! Then, I also bought souvenirs for some of my friends. Then, we left Universal Studio. =( We headed to the hostel next. We had dinner there. Well, you know I am very careless right? Yah, I lost my haversack. I was very worried, cause I left my wallet and most of the important things there. Quite luckily, I took out the camera. It was not totally lucky. Probably I left it on the bus.
Oh My God! Do you believe it? You heard of public toilet, right? Well, this public toilet in the hostel means public bathing. Of course, boys and girls used different toilet. Public bathing... Yucks!
9th June 2007
We went to Josei Gakuen's sports day. We joined them in one of the activities and got second. Then, it rained.We had lunch in a room. After lunch, we went back to the sports day. Ater that, we went back to the room and waited for our buddies or their parents to pick us up. Most of the boys went off first except Kah Yiong. We were very nervous in meeting our buddies. I waited till 5 or 6 o'clock only then I meet my buddy. My buddy's name is Mami. Quite weird, right? I think Japanese eat a lot because they gave me a lot of rice on the first night. I told them too much. Then, Mami said her mother will take some out. When it is enough, I must say stop. After her mother took out a quarter of it, and I haven't say stop they just told me to eat till I am full. I only finished 2 out of 8 of the rice.
10th June 2007
The day that we are going to spend with our buddy and their family came. Horror. My buddy's 2 cousins came.They only brought me shopping and bought a lot of things for me. Then night came. I missed my family a lot. I wanted to go home. I kept on counting down for the next day to arrive so I could meet my friends.
11th June 2007
Well, it finally reached. I had to put on the Indian costume to school. Whatever, as long as I meet my friends. After the performance, our hard work finally paid off! Yeah! Then, I quickly changed into my uniform cause the Indian costume very uncomfortable. Then, we went for calligraphy class. It was fun, but a little different from the Chinese one. Then, we quickly changed into our P.E attire and went for P.E lessons. We learnt volleyball. It was very fun. I paired up with Alicia and I played together. After that, we had lunch which was made by our host families. Then, we had this flower arrangement lesson. After arranging for quite long, we finally finished it. Too bad, we need to keep away the flowers after hard work. =(
Then, we had a farwell party presented by the pupils there and the staff. They told us Japanese stories and introduced some sweets and snacks to us that are never found in Singapore. We could try some snacks too. Then, we said goodbye to our buddies and went back to Youth Hostel.
12th June 2007
The last day of our trip is finally here...
After breakfast, we went to Kiyomizutera temple. There were many stalls along the way up. The temple was like a museum. There were many things on display. We bought things along the way down and went up to the bus. Then, the girls went for doll painting and the boys went for woodblock printing. It was fun but my painting bad so my work was ugly. We got to bring our work back. After doll painting and lunch, we learnt weaving. It was super fun. I wish I can weave again. We could bring our work back too. Then, four girls(Nina, Wei Ying, Yusnah & Alicia) paid 2000 over yen to put on the Kimono dress. I am not interested. So, the others went shopping(including me). We shopped and shopped. Then, there was a Kimono show, so we stopped to rest and watch.(of course not the 4 girls). Then, we went to the Loft. Too bad we were a bit late and have about 40 minutes to shop only. The shopping complex is rather big. We had to rush so we can reach the meeting point in time. For dinner, we made Okonomiyaki ourselves. I kinda hate the idea. I burnt myself while cooking. Luckily it was not serious. It was a very heavy meal. I couldn't finish. The last day is finally over... We were goingto leave the following day.
13th June 2007
We headed to Kansai airport after breakfast. Then, we received our tickets. Unluckily, I had to sit beside Darryl. Never mind, just ignore him. We took SQ617 to Singapore. Halfway, Darryl "let it out on his pants".(This is how he explains it.) First, I smelt something bad. Then, I suspect Darryl. After that, I asked him whether he needs to go to the toilet. He said yes, but Jonathan didn't let him out. Jonathan was sleeping. I woke Jonathan up and told him to let Darryl out. I quickly shifted to another seat but unluckily again, I sat beside Brandon Ong. So, I don't care lah. We arrived at Changi airport about 10-20 minutes earlier than prediction. Finally, we went home.
