Dragonboating

We had 2 dragonboating lessons. It was AWESOME! I love dragonboating! Hahaha. It is definitely better than Spire... Spire is a (sadly) boring lesson teaching us the uses and how to research to prepare us for our research programme some time soon... Sad man. I rather dragonboat every week... But who doesn't? :)

Last week, our boat only had 1 guy - Jia Yi. There was another boat with only 1 guy too. But Jia Yi's a canoer. Haha he was my partner. There was this other boat with 13 guys. OMG. However during the race, we were 2nd! O.o The boat with 13 guys were obviously the first. Sadly, the 205 boat was last. But at least they completed the race and that was the most important thing. Jia Yi didn't come to school today... He was sick. So I paddled alone. So we became the boat with no guys. This week, we were 2nd again... Wow. But this time the boat with 13 guys were not first, it was the boat with 1 guy. Sadly, 205 was last again... But they tried and that's the main thing. The main thing is to try. Whether you win or not, it always starts with trying first. If you don't try, you won't even move.

We just finished 2 tests - IS and LA Journal Entry. Ahh 2 more to go! I can't wait for next Monday to be over, because the other 2 tests are on Monday. Math and Chinese compo. After all the tests are over, I can finally read my storybook! Hahahaha. Omg, haha this is random but I just realised I am appearing offline on MSN after more than 20 minutes...

Yesterday was my brother's birthday... My family and I went to Vivocity. On the MRT on our way to Queenstown MRT Station to wait for my dad, there were foreigners from Youth Olympic Games... I saw their shirt... Columbia. Those were teenagers, probably competitors. And there was 1 Cuba man. My mum sat beside him. He was much older and definitely could not be a participant, so I thought he was probably a coach. After a while, he stood up to give up his seat to me! O.o I wasn't handicapped or carrying heavy stuff or anything... I didn't know what to do so I refused profusely politely (I think) then he proceeded to ask my younger sis to sit. My younger sis refused too. Finally, he sat back down. My mum helped us thank him. Then, she talked to him. It appeared that he didn't really understand or speak English. He is a coach for triathletes. Wow. Oh and he said that in his country (Cuba), the men (points thumb up), and the women (points thumb down) in buses and trains. Lol he meant that the men in Cuba stood in public transports and the women get the seats. Wow Cuba has way better men than Singapore. XD

Haha we dined at Fig and Olive in Vivo. It was nice. :) But it was filling cause we ordered quite a lot. After walking and shopping in Vivo, we bought a whole mudpie from Island Cremery and went home. :) And we ate again. Hahaha I think I put on at least 2kg after all that. Ok I am going to eat dinner (eat again XD).
