The haze is terrible. Why must they burn down forests?! Anyway, I'm in Malaysia with my dad. Since both of us don't know how to cook, we went out for lunch. We went to a mall that was not very well maintained (in terms of cleanliness). But many Malaysian malls are like that... Anyway, after eating, we needed to buy soap refill packs cause my mum informed me to. When we looked out into the open, it was pouring mad. The carpark was outdoors and we didn't bring the umbrella cause it was sunny. Well, not anymore. And so, we were stuck in the mall. We walked around on the first floor. My dad was not very much of a shopper, unless the kind of shopping you talked about is electrical appliances. So I was munching on some awesome waffle with chocolate while briefly scanning through the shops with him. We stopped by a Celcom (Malaysia phone/internet network) booth and the sales person started to chatter off. My dad didn't seem to be too keen on listening, though he was interested in the plans they offered. I stood there and stared and waited... It was still pouring mad the same. I couldn't finish the other waffle, I was too full. Finally, we walked off from the booth with my dad saying his usual "I'll think about it". We sat by the small entrance/exit of the mall, waiting for the rain to reduce to drizzle, but it was the kind of rain that lasts long. Then, a Malay lady came and sat beside me. She, too, was stuck because of the pouring rain. Then, she gave me a revision for my upcoming Malay oral test. I tried my best to understand, which I mostly could (after piecing the words together), it wasn't as easy replying. She was quite entertaining, in a good way. She complained of the rain and we were in the same situation. Haha, being stingy, our cars were parked at the nearby mini furniture mall instead of the indoor parking lots provided, cause we needed to pay RM1 to get in. The funniest part was when she complained about her husband, who went strolling in the mall cause it was raining and he couldn't get to the car anyway. When the rain lessned a bit, my dad went in the rain and got the car and umbrella. I said goodbye to the lady. Then, my dad brought me with the umbrella to the car, warning me before I encountered the puddles of water.
So, after being stuck in the mall for about 3 hours today, I learnt that umbrellas are highly essential in life.
